Prof Tan Chue Tin — Chairman
Prof Tan Chue Tin is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist with his own private practice at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre. In addition to his MBBS from the National University of Singapore, he has a Diploma in Psychological Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of England. He was elected a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in London, a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, a Fellow with the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and a Fellow of the American Psychiatrists’ Association. Prof Tan is a Visiting Consultant to the Institute of Mental Health, Woodbridge Hospital and Changi General Hospital as well as an Advisor for the Mount Elizabeth Behavioural Health Services at Mount Elizabeth Hospital. He has served also as a Founder Member of the International Society of Addiction Medicine. Prof Tan is the Chairman of the Executive Counselling and Training Academy; he also served as the President of the Singapore Psychiatric Association and the Chairman of the Chapter of Psychiatrists (now known as the College of Psychiatrists (Academy of Medicine)) as well as the Chairman of Samaritans of Singapore. The Singapore Psychiatric Association honoured him with a Distinguished Psychiatrist Award for his role in the psychiatric fraternity. For his work in advancing mental health in Singapore, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate degree by Swinburne University of Technology (Melbourne).
Mr Joel Chua — CEO
Mr Joel Chua is a psychotherapist in private practice, a corporate trainer, and the creator and host of a live radio talkshow in Singapore which engages listeners on various issues pertaining to mental health, personal growth and healing, and relationships. Joel is experienced in counselling clients on range of issues such as work-related stress and anxiety, depression, grief, emotional trauma, and relationship issues. He has a Master of Social Science in Professional Counselling, University Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, is a Transactional Analysis Practitioner (USATAA), and an Exco member of the TA Association (Singapore). He also conducts corporate training on personal effectiveness for leaders, interpersonal communication, and psycho-emotional resilience. Joel has held management and managerial positions in the media, social, and private education sectors.
Ms Jean Tay — Clinical Director
Jean Tay is a psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience in people-development, education and caregiving industries. Jean provides counselling and training, with specialisations in grief recovery, trauma, anxiety, phobia and depression. She is attuned to the diverse needs of her clients. Jean is also a reputed clinical supervisor, providing clinical supervision at universities and at community and private establishments. Jean achieved straight distinctions in her Master of Social Science (Professional Counselling) and Graduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision. She is a certified Grief Recovery Specialist (GRM), Transactional Analysis Practitioner (USATAA), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapist (EMDR), and holds certifications in personality profiling tools and relationship building models. Jean is registered with the Singapore Association for Counselling as a Registered Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor.
Dr Jessica Leong
Dr Jessica Leong, PhD, Counselling Psychology, MA in Counselling and Msc in TA Psychotherapy. She is an Adjunct Teaching Fellow, Faculty of Health, Arts & Design, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. She is the Director for Swinburne ECTA Programmes, Singapore. She is also a Registered Counsellor & Psychotherapist (BACP, United Kingdom) and (PACFA, Australia) and (SAC, Singapore). Jessica was accorded the Gold Award in the “Excellence in Teaching” Convention. She achieved the distinction of becoming the first certified Transactional Analyst in Singapore and has been the President of the Transactional Analysis Association in Singapore for more than 20 years.
Dr Tan Sheng Neng
Dr Tan Sheng Neng graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia and obtained his postgraduate psychiatry qualification in 2011. He was appointed as the Director of the Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Service (2017-2019), Department of Psychological Medicine, Changi General Hospital, Singapore. He was also an Assistant Director (Psych) to the Integrated Sleep Service (2017-2019), Changi General Hospital (SingHealth Duke-NUS Sleep Centre) where he helped develop into a department in 2018. Dr Tan has a specialised interest within the fields of neuropsychiatry where he treated patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment, Behavioural Psychological Symptoms of Dementia, and Brain trauma or injury particularly from Strokes. Besides his clinical work, Dr Tan was an active researcher, and his main research interest was in enhancing the mental health of patients with chronic illnesses. Dr Tan was awarded the National Research Foundation – MOH Healthcare Research Scholarship and obtained the Master of Clinical Investigation from the University of Singapore.
